I believe in government that works for people. From Manhattan poll sites to the Detroit suburbs to more than a dozen state capitols, I've done my level best to make it a reality. When Michigan's unemployment insurance system collapsed under the weight of a pandemic, I helped scores of working families get the benefits to which they were entitled as the director of constituent services for then-Rep. Darrin Camilleri. In 2021, I moved to New York (because the sandwiches are better and you don't need a car) and took the show on the road with the folks at Indigov to set up constituent-facing staff across the country for success. Then, I spent two years at the intersection of legislative casework and oversight at the Levin Center.Today, I'm proud to serve Roosevelt Island and the Upper East Side of Manhattan as the district manager for Community Board 8.I'm also a tower bell ringer, a volunteer income tax preparer, a third-generation election worker, and a licensed New York City tour guide.
